News and Community - A Dozen Roses

A Dozen Roses is totally committed to supporting the local community whenever it can.  A Dozen Roses not only is a team sponsor for the Warnervale Rugby Club in Warnervale but we have thrust ourselves behind Anne Berry - The Regional Embassador for The Cancer Council on the Central Coast  - and donate roses wherever and whenever we can to help the fight against cancer by fund raising for the Cancer Council.

A Dozen Roses supports the Sunnyfield Association based in Warnervale with donations of petals to make Pot Pourri which we sell in our retail outlets and all revenue is directed back to Sunnyfield to assist with fund raising for their projects.

A Dozen Roses always donates the buttonholes and single roses for the Camp Breakaway formal dinners to give to each of the guests of Camp Breakaway - which they really enjoy and feel very special indeed.  We feel this is a really worthwhile organisation that gives such a rewarding experience to truly deserved people and they do not always get the recognition for the great job they do for our community.

A Dozen Roses is always giving roses to the local old age nursing homes in the local area namely, Glenmere Nursing Home, Warnervale Gardens, Starett Lodge and Our Lady of Loretto Gardens.

A Dozen Roses donates roses to Marian Curry who then gives them to the Ronald MacDonald House in Newcastle - the volunteers and residents really do need to know that the community does appreciate them and acknowledge their great dedication and service to the children and families who need to use the Ronald MacDonald house.

A Dozen Roses has also been involved with the Relay for Life by donations of single roses for sale for this event.

A Dozen Roses donated single roses for the Dragons Abreast Team to sell on Australia Day as well as the petals for the petal throwing ceremony on the Brisbane Waters.

A Dozen Roses also donated roses to the Gosford High - Science & Technology students to raise money to attend the finals in Toowoomba, QLD.

A Dozen Roses was a major sponsor for the Steel Magnolia's luncheon organised by LifeLine by donation of all the table arrangements, fresh rose arrangements for all the nominees and special prizes for the winners as well as arrangements for the guest speakers and single roses for all guests.

A Dozen Roses was actively involved in sponsoring all the roses for the Gosford Council's  Australian Citizen Awards by donating fresh roses for all category winners and the overall Citizen of the Year award.

A Dozen Roses donates roses to the Wyong Shire Food Services Inc - to all volunteers who run the "Meals on Wheels".
